Learn the mechanics behind the practice

Reference notes for teachers and serious students: how the diaphragm and pelvic floor move together in ujjayi, what a block under the sacrum changes in a supine twist, and when a strap beats a wall for opening the shoulders.

Stay in touch with the practice letter

One email a week, written by teachers who are still on the mat. We send short notes on breathwork, prop choices and the mechanics behind common cues, plus new guides from the Learn shelf and any studio listings worth knowing about. No sales pitches, no filler.

  • Plain-language breakdowns of anatomy for asana, from the diaphragm to the hamstring attachment.
  • Notes on Sanskrit terms, mobility versus flexibility, and reading your own fatigue across a teaching week.
  • Occasional studio and shala listings from the directory, sent when something genuinely useful opens up.

Reaching the people behind the guides

The Learn shelf is written by teachers who still hold regular classes, so questions about a cue, a prop setup or a Sanskrit term usually land with someone who has worked through the same thing on a Tuesday morning. Use the details below for editorial notes, corrections or a slow reply about something you read here.

Studio address

4372 Human Loaf Suite 271
Zuluburgh, LP 4322

Visits by arrangement, since most of the week is spent teaching or out at shalas across the region.

Written notes about a guide are easier to answer by email than by phone, especially when they include the passage you mean.

When we reply

  • Monday to Thursday, 09:00 to 17:00
  • Friday, 09:00 to 13:00
  • Weekends and public holidays: closed

Messages that arrive during a training intensive may take a few extra days. We answer in the order they come in.

Other ways to get in touch

Editorial corrections and teaching notes: send them to the email above with the guide title in the subject line.

Studio listings, schedule changes and directory updates are handled through the same inbox, so include your shala name and city.

Where to go when a question sits with you after class

Learn is meant to be read slowly, and some notes raise more questions than they settle. Maybe a cue about the hamstring attachment does not match what you feel in your own body, or you are weighing a yin course against a vinyasa training and want a second opinion. Write to us and a practising teacher will read it, not a support queue.

Email the editorial desk

Best for questions about a specific guide, a Sanskrit term you keep hearing, or a correction you want us to make. Include the page and the paragraph if you can.
